Burns & McDonnell, a U.S. engineering firm founded in 1898, employs more than 14,500 workers around the world, more than 1,700 of whom are based in India. Its Mumbai team works with clients in a variety of industries, including chemicals, oil and gas, power, construction, water treatment and environmental engineering.

 

Enfusion aims to give client companies a comprehensive view of their business through services like trading, risk management, accounting and operations. It offers an integrated investment platform to family offices, asset managers and hedge funds. The company has its Mumbai office in the Kurla West area. 

 

Tata Projects, a division of Mumbai-based Tata Group, is an engineering firm that has worked on high-profile construction projects like India’s new parliament building and Noida International Airport. The company, which employs more than 5,700 people, has also designed and constructed airports, rail systems, oil refineries, power plants, data centers and wastewater treatment plants.

 

Kalpataru Projects provides engineering, procurement and construction services across a variety of industries, including power, construction, water, transportation and oil and gas. Founded in 1981 in Mumbai, the company has more than 7,800 employees.

The company got its start in fertilizer by setting up ammonia urea plants, and it has since expanded to include oil refineries, water treatment plants and industrial facilities.

 

Reliance Infrastructure, part of the Reliance Group conglomerate, is a large Mumbai engineering firm founded in 1929. It has provided engineering and construction services for numerous highways, power plants and rail systems — most notably the Mumbai Metro One rail project connecting Versova, Andheri and Ghatkopar. Product engineering is a huge element of its market dominance, with tech-forward processes for everything from consumer data analysis to manufacturing. The Mumbai operations site is responsible for a number of its internationally popular snack brands. 

 

ServiceNow uses artificial intelligence to power a platform that enables efficiency and productivity across industries such as financial services, healthcare, manufacturing, energy and media. Arup, a London-based design and engineering firm, established its first India office in Mumbai in 2008. The company, which employs 113 people in India,  has contributed to the development of the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Hyderabad, provided engineering services for Mumbai’s air traffic control tower and contributed to the redevelopment of the New Delhi Railway Station.
