Job Title: Workday Reporting Consultant – Financials (FIN)
Experience: 3–5 years overall; ≥2 years hands-on Workday Reporting (FIN)
Location: Mumbai/Bangalore (Hybrid with minimum 2 days/week from office)
Employment Type: Full-time
Key Responsibilities:
- Creating customized Balance Sheets, Income Statements, and Cash Flow statements using Composite Reporting.
- Engage directly with customers on all aspects of their Workday reporting landscape.
- Lead and support design and requirement workshops for reporting and dashboards.
- Configure Workday Finance reports and dashboards (Advanced, Matrix, Composite, Trending), Drive, Worksheets and create calculated fields.
- Build accurate effort estimates for reporting work and approve estimates from junior consultants.
- Collaborate with Finance, Accounting, and Functional teams to translate business requirements into reporting solutions.
- Ability to trace financial data from Operational Transactions (e.g., Supplier Invoices, Customer Invoices) through Account Posting Rules to the General Ledger to ensure reporting accuracy.
- Ensure data accuracy, compliance, and security in all reports.
- Stay updated on Workday releases and recommend enhancements to reporting capabilities.
- Act as an advocate for CloudRock and help build the India-based team through active leadership.
- Mentor junior resources and support their growth.
- Achieve a high level of utilization and deliver quality solutions.
Mandatory Experience:
- Degree in a technical, business, or relevant field of study.
- 3+ years implementing Financials technical solutions with Workday, SAP, Oracle, or similar applications within a consulting/software organization or as an internal consultant.
- 2+ years of Workday Reporting experience (Finance focus). With knowledge of Workday reports and dashboards (Advanced, Matrix, Composite, Trending), Drive, Worksheets, calculated fields, data sources and business objects. Deep understanding of Workday Financials Core concepts: Organizations (Company, Cost Center, Region), Hierarchies, and Worktags usage
- Hands-on experience in end-to-end Workday projects.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Consultative approach with excellent oral and written communication skills.
Desired Experience (nice to have):
- Workday Certification - Workday Pro Financials Reporting Certification.
- Good to have for FIN reporting:
- Workday Pro Prism Analytics Certification
- Composite Reporting Certification
- Experience in at least one end-to-end Workday project.
- Exposure to Workday Prism Analytics or Adaptive Planning.
- Working Knowledge of BIRT (Business Intelligence reporting tool). Familiarity with Workday Office Connect (linking Workday live data to Excel) is a massive plus. Experience with Discovery Boards for ad-hoc financial analysis.
Necessary Skills:
- Fluent written and spoken English.
- Effective presentation skills to lead calls and workshops.
- Strong consulting skills and MS Office proficiency.
- Ability to work independently and mentor junior team members.
