Key Accountabilities:
Primary Responsibilities:
Integration & Configuration Development
Architect, design, build, test, and deploy Workday integrations using EIB, Workday Studio, BIRT, Core Connectors, and Workday Extend.
Develop and maintain integrations between Workday HCM, Payroll, Finance, and various third‑party systems (e.g., Kronos, BrassRing, ADP).
Convert, map, and validate data elements from/to Workday data sources.
Create and maintain custom reports, calculated fields, and user‑based reporting solutions.
Configure and modify Workday Business Processes and load EIBs as needed.
Support orchestration of complex integration workflows across multiple systems.
Project & SDLC Execution
Manage the full software development lifecycle (design → prototype → build → test → migrate) for Workday integrations and enhancements.
Lead integration deliverables for Workday implementation projects and enterprise initiatives.
Work independently on sprint assignments and contribute to Agile ceremonies.
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve production issues with a focus on root‑cause analysis and long‑term stability.
Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration
Partner with HRIS, HR, Payroll, Finance, and other business owners to understand requirements and recommend optimal Workday solutions.
Serve as a consultative expert on Workday modules, integration best practices, and architectural design.
Build strong relationships with cross‑functional teams to ensure successful project execution and adoption.
Provide guidance, mentorship, and technical leadership to team members when needed.
Qualifications Required:
3+ years of hands‑on experience with Workday Integration technologies (EIB, Studio, Core Connectors, BIRT).
Workday Integration Certification required.
Experience supporting Workday in a large, global corporate environment (20,000+ employees).
Strong business analysis and mapping skills, including writing functional and technical specifications.
Demonstrated experience integrating Workday with HR, Payroll, and third‑party systems.
Deep understanding of service‑oriented architecture, ERP integration patterns, and Workday’s implementation methodology.
Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum, Kanban).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment with weekly releases.
Self‑starter with the ability to work independently and solve complex problems creatively.
Preferred Skills
Hands‑on experience with Workday Extend, including building custom applications, UI components, and business logic. (preferred)
Experience designing and managing Workday Orchestrations, including multi‑step workflows, event‑driven processes, and cross‑system automation. (preferred)
Familiarity with Workday’s Object Model, REST/SOAP APIs, and security frameworks.
Experience with Workday Prism Analytics or data transformation pipelines.
Background in large‑scale HR technology modernization or digital transformation initiatives.
Ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
Strong understanding of integration governance, versioning, and deployment best practices.
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in technical discipline (Math’s, Science, Engineering, Computing, etc.) or a related study, or equivalent project-related experience.
