About The Role:
CloudRock is recruiting for a Workday Financial Architect who will be accountable and responsible for architecting the end-to-end functional solution for clients across several functional and technical Workday domains within Finance & Adaptive Planning. The candidate will also be part of the Optimisation team, and lead project delivery managing resources from the Financials practice as relevant, following the CloudRock Review & Recommend methodology.
The ideal candidate possesses strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and a passion for driving cross-functional financial initiatives.
Key Job Responsibilities
- To lead & support with design & customer requirement workshops and throughout the implementation / optimisation of Workday Financials & Adaptive across a variety of domains
- To manage and lead cross functional resources on a client engagement and ensure holistic end to end solution including all dependencies and connections between domains
- To demonstrate a high level of understanding of how businesses can utilise Workday technology to their advantage and how it improves automation and efficiencies.
- To be highly confident in using and configuring Workday Financials and Adaptive.
- To be proficient in building accurate estimates for Workday work packages and reviewing estimates of more junior consultants.
- To work with functional, data and integration team members to ensure configuration, data and integrations align and dependencies are understood and managed.
- Ownership of sales and scoping activities including Statement of Work creation for FINS optimisation projects
- You will also carry out Workday Financial Review and Recommendations, working with clients, holding workshops, carrying out Voice of the Customer sessions and reviewing tenant configurations to initially understand the As-Is situation, and then provide Optimisation design and recommendations. Provide expert advice in relation to Workday Financials to clients, and support the Optimisation team more broadly.
- Contribute to the ongoing development and refinement of CloudRock’s optimisation products and practice.
- To lead and manage a team of consultants.
- Support with more complex customer change requests or tickets, capacity permitting.
- To be able to work in quick paced and dynamic environment.
- To help build and develop the CloudRock Financials team with people management and recruiting.
- To assist with the development of CloudRock tools to accelerate and provide structure to client delivery.
The Ideal Candidate
- Will hold a Degree in a financial domain &/or an accountancy qualification.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Be consultative in their customer approach.
- Have excellent oral & written communication skills.
- Fluent English (written / spoken).
- A minimum of 7+ years' experience of in Enterprise Cloud Applications Implementation projects with a focus on Financials.
- Certified or highly experienced in one or more areas of Workday or other tier 1 or 2 cloud financial platform.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, confident in engaging and building relationships with senior stakeholders.
- Good communicator and able to bridge the gap between client business requirements and Workday terminology.
- Financial process mapping experience.
- Able to spot improvements in current process / working practices.
