We’re looking for a talented Environment Artist to help build, maintain, and evolve high-quality environments for our projects. You’ll work closely with art, design, and tech teams to create immersive, optimized worlds using Houdini, Unreal Engine, and Maya. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both creative world-building and technical problem-solving.
ResponsibilitiesCreate, update, and maintain environment assets and levels using Houdini, Unreal Engine, and Maya
Build new environments and iterate on existing ones to meet artistic and gameplay requirements
Use procedural workflows in Houdini to efficiently generate and modify environments
Assemble and polish environments in Unreal Engine, ensuring visual fidelity and performance
Collaborate with designers, lighting artists, and technical artists to achieve a cohesive visual style
Optimize assets and environments for performance and memory constraints
Maintain clean, organized files and follow established art pipelines and naming conventions
Respond to feedback and iterate quickly on environment content
Proven experience as an Environment Artist or similar role
Strong hands-on experience with Houdini, Unreal Engine, and Maya
Solid understanding of environment art fundamentals: composition, scale, lighting, and storytelling
Experience updating and maintaining existing environments as well as building new ones from scratch
Knowledge of real-time rendering constraints and optimization techniques
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based production environment
Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Experience with procedural environment generation
Familiarity with shaders, materials, and texture workflows
Experience working on games, simulations, or real-time interactive projects
Knowledge of version control systems (Perforce, Git, etc.)
Exposure to additional tools such as Substance, ZBrush, or World Machine
A portfolio demonstrating high-quality environment work
Examples showing use of Houdini, Unreal Engine, and/or Maya
Breakdown of your process, including procedural workflows, is a plus
