Working closely with our VFX teams, you’ll be responsible for compositing not only render passes into final images, but also Ai generated elements, photography and more. Your role will be central to shaping the final look of our work bringing together technical precision, artistic judgement, and photographic believability, in order to elevate high-end bespoke CG stills imagery to final delivery quality. This is a highly creative position for someone with a great eye for color, light, composition, and realism, and a passion for visual storytelling. A strong understanding of photography, lensing, perspective, and composition is essential for achieving believable, high-end photorealistic imagery. While the role is primarily focused on 2D compositing, an interest in 3D workflows and CGI is highly valued and any experience in 3D will be a significant bonus. Our core focus is product visualisation, particularly automotive, complemented by a diverse range of other product and advertising work.
Key Responsibilities
• Composite CGI render passes into high-quality final imagery using Adobe Photoshop.
• Collaborate closely with CGI and 3D artists to achieve creative and technical objectives.
• Apply advanced colour grading, retouching, and visual effects to enhance realism and impact.
• Use photographic knowledge (lighting, lensing, depth of field, perspective) to guide compositing decisions.
• Incorporate AI workflows and techniques where they add clear value, improving efficiency and streamlining production.
• Bring strong artistic judgement and compositional awareness to every image.
• Interpret creative briefs and translate them into compelling visual outcomes.
• Maintain exceptional visual quality while meeting deadlines.
• Contribute to look development and visual style across projects.
Required Skills & Experience
• Advanced mastery of Photoshop for compositing, retouching, and image finishing.
• Strong understanding of colour management, colour theory, and visual consistency across outputs.
• Excellent knowledge of photography principles, including lenses, lighting, perspective, and composition.
• Exceptional artistic eye for detail, realism, and visual balance.
• Proven experience compositing CGI render passes (AOVs, layers, mattes, etc.).
• Familiarity with tools such as Nuke, After Effects, or similar compositing software.
• Understanding of CGI pipelines and collaboration with 3D teams.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• The ability to work autonomously as well as within a team
Nice to Have
• Experience with 3D software (3DS Max, Maya, C4D, Houdini, etc.).
• Background in automotive or product visualization.
• Knowledge of lighting, shading, and rendering workflows.
• Passion for emerging tools and visual trends in CGI and VFX.
