Job description
Hands on testing & creating end-to end test planning of NPT product family. Work closely with geographically separated software and hardware teams to develop functional as well as scaling tests for high-performance, secure networking products.
Qualification:
· B.E. / B. tech in Electronics or Electronics and telecommunication.
· 4 -12 years of Experience in working with Telecom /DATACOM product based companies.
· Must be result oriented and have a high degree of accountability, commitment and responsibility.
· Must possess outstanding problem solving skills, excellent multi-tasking & communication skills.
·Certifications from network equipment vendors such as Cisco (e.g., CCNA, CCNP), Juniper (e.g., JNCIA, JNCIP) will be preferred.
Domain Skills
- Knowledge of Routing Protocols: RIP, IS -IS, OSPF, BGP, IPV4, and IPV6.
- Understanding of advanced and emerging technologies like Segment Routing, EVPN, MPLS, L3-VPN, RSVP-TE, TI-LFA and other L3 functionalities.
- Knowledge of Layer 2 features like VLAN, E-LINE, E_LAN, PW, LACP & QOS.
- Knowledge on Multicasting protocols like IGMP, PIM.
- Experience in configuration and setup of various switches with Data analyzers like IXIA, Spirent test center.
- Experience on automation framework, experience with execution/development of automation test cases.
Roles and Responsibility
- Participate in System requirements gathering/review sessions.
- Design, develop, and document functional & interoperability level verification tests from systems specification and product requirements.
- Responsible for preparing test strategy, development and execution of test plans/cases and weekly progress / status reports.
- Automating required test plans, conducting unit testing & troubleshooting the failures. Finally making them ready to be part of the regression suite.
