In this role, you are expected to:
Trade Proc Team Lead is an intermediate level role responsible for ensuring transactions are processed accurately and on time in coordination with the Transaction Services team. Checking and scrutinizing the LC documents with the approved checklist and accordance with UCP/ISBP. The overall objective is to apply working knowledge of International Trade, management skills and in-depth knowledge of team goals to ensure the quality of deliverables.

Allocate work and manage daily workflow for Trade Operations team engaged in performing entry level, routine clerical or processing tasks

Provide recommendations to increase the efficiency of the daily work of the transaction processing team

Train and advise lower-level staff through applying in-depth knowledge of team objectives

Maintain a basic comprehension of how the cash & trade operations team interacts with others in accomplishing objectives

Research, identify and recommend technology capabilities that enable the reduction of client inquiries and manual touch points
-
Research current treasury and client operational trends and suggest solutions
-
Work in partnership with vendors, technology, and client operations teams to prototype innovative solutions

Propose and implement solutions that will increase operating efficiency and lead to an improved client experience

Assist efforts to help drive high rates of client adoption

Ensure requirements are clearly stated and that business and client needs are met throughout development

Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
As a successful candidate, you would ideally have the following skills and exposure:

Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience
-
6+ years of experience in a related role i.e., International Trade Background preferred.

Good understanding of Cash and Trade Operations

Proven system development lifecycle skills

Proficient understanding of emerging technologies

Effective verbal and written skills
-
Effective analytic and presentation skills
