The Test Lead for API Automation will oversee test strategies, manage cycles using qTest, Tosca, and CI/CD tools, and collaborate with teams to ensure software quality and adherence to standards.
JD 1. qTest Tool administration: Strategy & Planning: Define test strategies, create detailed plans, and align testing with business goals. Test Execution: Manage test cycles, assign tasks, and oversee execution (manual, automated, exploratory). Tool Administration: Act as the primary point of contact for qTest, providing training, support, and best practices. Integration & DevOps: Build event-driven workflows with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Azure DevOps) and other platforms (Jira). Reporting & Analytics: Create custom dashboards and reports for stakeholders, tracking metrics like defects, coverage, and velocity. Collaboration: Work with developers, product owners, and stakeholders for smooth releases. Quality Assurance: Manage quality risks, prioritize defect resolution, and ensure adherence to standards. Configuration: Set up, configure, and maintain qTest, including project customization, user groups, permissions, and workflows. User Management & Support: Onboard new projects, train users, troubleshoot issues, and provide ongoing support to QA teams. Best Practices: Enforce quality standards, maintain documentation, and guide teams on efficient testing processes. Certifications: Tricentis qTest certification is often mandatory. 2. Tosca automation: Design, develop, maintain, and execute automated tests for web, API, and database applications using the Tricentis Tosca tool, focusing on functional, regression, and end-to-end scenarios, integrating with CI/CD pipelines (like Jenkins), logging defects in qTest, and collaborating with dev/BA teams in Agile environments to ensure software quality. Key duties include creating modules, test cases, managing test data, validating backend data with SQL, and supporting continuous testing efforts.
