55ip, a subsidiary of J.P Morgan Chase is looking for team member in Technology / Application support function for its technology-enabled investment platform for large investment advisory (RIA) & wealth management firms. The mission of this role is to help a team of technologists toward supporting next-level solutions that will impact a fast growing business. the ideal candidate for this role has in-depth experience in design of support systems & processes, & mentoring a team of engineers and serving client requests. The candidate will employ latest technologies, data management, and security practices in all aspect of application support & monitoring. Critical thinking, clear communication, and collaboration will be key to the success of this role.
Responsibilities and Deliverables:

  • Executes small to medium projects independently with initial direction and eventually graduates to designing and delivering projects by yourself
  • Leverages technology to solve business problems by writing high quality, maintainable, and robust code following best practices in software engineering
  • Support the application systems and the technologies associated with the daily operations of the business, in a timely manner, ensuring a reliable and scalable production environment.
  • Responsible & accountable for triaging and escalating production issue causing outages.
  • Recognizes the toil within your role and proactively works towards eliminating it through either systems engineering or updating application code
  • Understands observability patterns and strives to implement and improve service level indicators, objectives monitoring, and alerting solutions for optimal transparency and analysis
  • Ability to work in a large, collaborative team and demonstrates the willingness to vocalize ideas with peers and managers
  • Understanding of how to prioritize and adjust work plans to adapt to changes in assigned responsibilities and projects
  • Adhere to processes, company policies, required to deliver high quality services to clients & partners.


Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Profession experience with at least 5+ years in Production Support, Application Support or Site Reliability
  • General knowledge of financial services industry (preferred)
  • Strong understanding and knowledge of cloud services (SaaS, IaaS, PaaS), Web-based applications and IT infrastructure
  • Working knowledge in one or more general purpose programming languages such as Python, shell scripting.
  • Advanced skills in monitoring & administering Linux systems.
  • Database server monitoring & administering skills, including intermediate-level understanding of SQL.
  • Experience in supporting Web based applications (Nginx, WebSphere, Apache Tomcat, Mule)
  • Understand source control techniques and/or familiar with Git / BitBucket
  • Proficient in technology toolkits as ServiceNow, Jira, Splunk, Monitoring tools like Dynatrace,Grafana AWS Cloudwatch, Datadog, Airflow and job scheduling tools like Autosys and Control-M.
  • Ability to work in a large, collaborative team and demonstrates the willingness to vocalize ideas with peers and managers
  • Understanding of how to prioritize and adjust work plans to adapt to changes in assigned responsibilities and projects
