Job responsibilities
- Executes small to medium projects independently and grows to deliver projects autonomously.
- Writes high-quality, maintainable, and robust code following software engineering best practices.
- Triages, diagnoses, and resolves incidents, collaborating to address root causes.
- Proactively identifies and eliminates toil through systems engineering or code updates.
- Implements and improves observability solutions, including service level indicators, objectives, monitoring, and alerting.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 2+ years applied experience.
- Ability to code in at least one programming language.
- Experience maintaining cloud-based infrastructure.
- Familiarity with site reliability concepts, principles, and practices.
- Knowledge of observability, including monitoring and telemetry tools such as Grafana, Dynatrace, Prometheus, Datadog, or Splunk.
- Familiarity with containers or common server operating systems such as Linux or Windows.
- Understanding of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline.

- General knowledge of financial services industry.
- Exposure to cloud technologies.
- Familiarity with modern front-end technologies.
