Role Description
- We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Infrastructure Specialist / Change the Bank - Transformation program manager to lead and manage complex technical projects, including localization and onshoring initiatives, while also ensuring the stability and optimization of our IT infrastructure within the India franchise. This combined role, reporting to the Head of Branch Technology India, requires a unique blend of strategic program management skills, deep technical understanding of enterprise IT infrastructure, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. This leader will be responsible for the planning, execution, and delivery of Technology projects, as well as the ongoing maintenance, optimization, and support of our critical IT infrastructure, ensuring alignment with global processes and product strategies. A key focus of this role will be driving projects that bring applications and infrastructure currently hosted in global hubs into the country to comply with local regulations.
- Successful candidate should be strategic thinker with a passion for technology and a proven track record delivering successful Tech projects and maintaining robust infrastructure in previous roles.

Your key responsibilities
- Infrastructure Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations and maintenance of our IT infrastructure within the India franchise, including servers, networks, storage, and other critical systems. This involves monitoring system performance, identifying and resolving technical issues, and implementing proactive measures to prevent downtime.
- Program Management: Lead and manage the full lifecycle of IT projects, from initiation and planning through execution, monitoring, and closure. This includes defining project scope, developing detailed project plans, managing budgets and resources, and ensuring timely delivery within established quality standards. Specifically, this includes leading localization and onshoring projects, bringing applications and infrastructure from global hubs into the country to meet regulatory requirements.
- Compliance and Transparency: Facilitate compliance and transparency of IT Infrastructure services provided by Branch Technology to the India franchise.
- Local IT Operations Oversight: Oversee local IT operations, ensuring alignment with global IT processes and strategies.
- Global Liaison: Liaise with global IT infrastructure product owners to ensure delivery of fit-for-purpose solutions for the India branch. This is particularly critical for localization/onshoring projects, where the role will need to effectively communicate local infrastructure requirements to central teams.
- Project Planning and Reporting: Plan, deliver, and report on IT infrastructure projects and initiatives within the India franchise.
- Change Management: Develop and execute change management plans for all IT projects and infrastructure changes within the India franchise, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations. This includes risk assessment, communication planning, stakeholder management, and post-implementation review.
- Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and expertise to project teams and other stakeholders. Stay on top of emerging technologies and trends, and recommend solutions to improve our IT infrastructure and project delivery processes.
- Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders, IT staff, and vendors. Communicate project status and infrastructure performance to senior stakeholders in the business, Branch Technology, and the wider IT organization in a clear and concise manner. Engage IT and business stakeholders on strategic initiatives that require Branch Technology involvement and deployment of IT infrastructure within the India franchise.
- Problem Solving: Proactively identify and resolve technical issues and project roadblocks. Develop and implement contingency plans to mitigate risks and ensure business continuity.
- Documentation: Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for all infrastructure components and projects , including project plans, technical specifications, operating procedures, and disaster recovery plans.
Your skills and experience
- Proven experience in IT program management, including experience managing complex technical projects.
- In-depth understanding of enterprise IT infrastructure components, including servers, networks, storage, databases, and security systems. Experience with infrastructure implications of application localization/onshoring is highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Effective and confident communication skills, with the ability to interact and report to senior stakeholders. Specifically, the ability to translate local infrastructure needs into requirements understandable by global teams is essential.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in the Banking/Finance/Regulated industry is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
