We are seeking an experienced and motivated Technical Specialist to join our team and play a pivotal role in delivering our telecom solutions.

You will be responsible for installing, implementing and configuring Value-Added Services Systems (VSS) and Online Charging Systems (OCS) for telecom operators.

The role involves working closely with clients, understanding their requirements, and ensuring seamless integration of systems into their networks. This together with the Sinch Project Team, which usually consists of Project Manager, Solution Architect and other Technical Specialists.

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in dynamic environments, ensuring successful project delivery within set timelines..

We think you have experience and knowledge within the following areas:

  • Install, configure, and implement Telecom VSS and OCS systems for telecom operators, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and project requirements.
  • Collaborate with clients to gather technical requirements and translate them into functional configurations,
  • Conduct system integration with existing network infrastructure, including interfaces with core telecom components like HLR, HSS, GGSN and IMS.
  • Perform system testing and validation, including User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and troubleshooting of system issues during deployment.
  • Develop and execute configuration scripts for system setup, e.g. Ansible.
  • Ensure proper documentation of configurations and implementations for future reference.
  • Provide on-site and remote support during installation and post-implementation phases to ensure system stability and performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software developers, project managers and customer support teams, to resolve technical challenges.

Who you are :

  • Relevant university degree and experience from technical roles within Telecom and IT industry and knowledge within the following areas:
  • Hands-on experience with implementing and configuring telecom systems, particularly VSS and OCS platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of telecom protocols such as SS7, Diameter, SIP, CAMEL
  • Experience with system integration in telecom environments, including APIs, middleware, and databases (e.g. Oracle)
  • Experience with Linux based systems.
  • Familiar with telecom networks, architecture, and components such as BSS/OSS, HLR/HSS and core network systems.
  • Knowledge of virtualization and cloud platforms (e.g. VMware, OpenStack or AWS)
  • Knowledge IP network architecture, configuration, integration, load balancing and redundancy.
  • Understanding of security and compliance requirements in telecom systems (CIS, OWASP, NIST or similar).
