Vectra AI is seeking a skilled and passionate Technical Marketing Engineer to join our team, focusing on Cloud & Identity - Threat Detection & Response. In this role, you will bridge the gap between our technical teams and our customers, translating complex security concepts into compelling marketing materials and providing technical expertise throughout the sales cycle.

This exciting position offers the opportunity to work at the forefront of cloud security technology, collaborating with multi-functional teams to drive the success of our Cloud Identity and Threat Detection & Response solutions. The ideal candidate will be passionate about cybersecurity, technically proficient, and able to communicate complex ideas effectively to a variety of audiences.

Key Responsibilities

1. Act as an internal technical expert, fielding questions related to Cloud.

2. Demonstrate strong architecture and design skills on Cloud security.

3. Provide technical support to sales teams during customer engagements, addressing complex questions and showcasing product capabilities.

4. Create and maintain demo environments that effectively showcase our solutions' capabilities.

5. Influence product capabilities and direction based on security needs and customer challenges.

6. Engage with customers to gather feedback and use cases, translating these into product requirements and marketing opportunities.

7. Stay current with industry trends, competitive offerings, and emerging technologies in cloud security, identity management, and threat detection.

8. Create technical content for sales, partners, and customers including whitepapers, blog posts, case studies, and product documentation that effectively communicate the value and functionality of our Cloud & Identity security solutions.

Required Skills & Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field.

2. 3+ years of experience in a technical role within the cybersecurity industry, preferably with a focus on cloud security, identity management, or threat detection and response.

3. Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts, major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and associated security challenges.

4. In-depth knowledge of identity and access management principles and technologies.

5. Familiarity with threat detection methodologies, SIEM systems, and incident response processes.

6. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

7. Hands-on experience with relevant security tools and technologies.

8. Basic scripting and coding skills (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for creating demos and proof-of-concepts.

Preferred Qualification

1. Prior experience in a technical marketing or engineering role, specifically in cloud security or identity threat detection & response solutions.

2. Hands-on experience with leading Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions (e.g., Okta, Azure AD, etc) and Single Sign-On (SSO) technologies.

3. Experienced with Kubernetes and cloud native application (EKS, AKS, GKE).

4. Understanding of common attacker Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs) in cloud and identity-based attacks.

5. Experience in developing or contributing to open-source security tools, particularly those related to cloud security, identity protection, or threat detection.

6. Experience in conducting or assisting with red team exercises or penetration testing in cloud environments, with a focus on identity-based attacks.
