Position Title: Technical Lead

We are looking for an exceptional API Technical Lead to join our team. Your contributions will have a lasting impact as you design and implement APIs that drive innovation and efficiency.
How You Will Contribute:
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the API Management Platform strategy, architecture, and implementation.
- Define and enforce API design standards, security best practices, and governance models.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Enterprise Architects, and Engineering teams to align API initiatives with business goals.
- Guide teams in API lifecycle management — from design and development to publishing, monitoring, and retirement.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams in an Agile framework.
- Evaluate and integrate API management platforms.
- Ensure secure, scalable, and reusable API solutions across on-prem, cloud, and hybrid environments.
- Drive automation and CI/CD practices for API deployment and versioning.
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in computer science or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in software engineering with a focus on API architecture and platform leadership.
- Strong understanding of RESTful API design, Open API/Swagger, and API-first development.
- Hands-on experience with one or more API management platforms: Apigee, MuleSoft, Tyk, AWS, Azure, Gravitee, WSO2, Solo etc.
- Deep knowledge of API security (OAuth2, JWT, rate limiting, threat protection etc).
- Experience leading cross-functional teams in an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with API developer portals
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Experience with GraphQL, gRPC, or event-driven APIs.
- Exposure to Kubernetes, Istio, or service mesh architectures.
- Certification in API Management platforms or cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP).
