Technical Lead/Architect - GBC Innovation & Technology
Are you a seasoned technical expert passionate about driving innovation? American Express Global Business Travel (Amex GBT) is seeking a Technical Lead/Architect to join our Global Business Consulting (GBC) Innovation and Technology team. In this key role, you will provide technical leadership and oversight for the architecture design and transformation of our cutting-edge consulting applications.
What You'll Do:
- Architect and design highly scalable and robust application solutions to support GBC's data-driven consulting offerings
- Evaluate and integrate new technologies into GBC's technology stack to drive innovation
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the development teams across the full lifecycle
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and propose optimal technical solutions
- Establish best practices, standards, and governance for application development and data management
What We're Looking For:
- 7-10 years of software development experience with front-end and .NET technologies in enterprise systems with high availability and performance requirements
- Solid background in React, REST APIs, .NET Core, Python, CI/CD, and SQL
- Hands-on experience with foundational AWS services
- Understanding of serverless technologies, services, and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)
- 5+ years of expertise in BI/Data platforms, data modeling, ETL processes, and data visualization tools like Tableau, Alteryx
- AI/ML experience a plus
- Experience with agile development methodologies and DevOps practices
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication abilities
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical field
- Self-starter team player, with experience and ability to work with geographically dispersed teams
