We are looking for a highly skilled Technical Content Writer who can transform complex, cutting-edge cloud and data engineering concepts into authoritative, deeply technical content. This is not a generalist writing role — we need someone who can go deep.
You will own the creation of L300 and L400-level technical content across AWS, Snowflake, Databricks, and Azure, covering topics such as data lakehouse architecture, cloud-native database migration, real-time data pipelines, MLOps, and modern analytics platforms. Your content will serve as a cornerstone of Mactores' thought leadership, driving organic visibility, developer trust, and enterprise pipeline.
You will work at the intersection of deep technical knowledge, AI-assisted productivity, and SEO-driven content strategy — producing content that ranks, resonates, and educates.
What you will do?
- Research, write, and publish L300/L400-level technical blogs, deep-dive articles, whitepapers, case studies, and solution briefs across AWS, Snowflake, Databricks, and Azure
- Translate complex architectural concepts — such as Apache Iceberg lakehouses, Oracle-to-Aurora migrations, Spark optimization, and cloud-native DataOps — into structured, accurate, and engaging long-form content
- Develop content across a range of formats: blog posts, technical tutorials, solution walkthroughs, comparison guides, newsletters, and video scripts
- Collaborate closely with solution architects, data engineers, and SMEs to validate technical accuracy and extract deep implementation-level insights
- Actively use AI tools (such as Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Grammarly, and others) to accelerate research, drafting, editing, and content ideation
- Apply AI tools to improve content structure, readability, and technical depth — not as a replacement for expertise, but as a force multiplier for quality and output velocity
- Stay current with the evolving AI content tooling landscape and continuously integrate better tools and workflows into your process
- Own the SEO strategy for all published content — including keyword research, search intent mapping, on-page optimization, internal linking, meta descriptions, and structured data
- Use tools such as Ahrefs, SEMrush, Google Search Console, or Surfer SEO to identify content opportunities, track rankings, and optimize existing content
- Write content that balances deep technical authority with discoverability — ensuring L300/L400 topics rank for high-intent, long-tail search queries used by engineers and architects
- Conduct regular content audits and refreshes to keep published blogs current with evolving platform features and industry trends, improving ranking signals over time
- Optimize content structure for featured snippets, People Also Ask, and rich results where applicable
- Collaborate with the marketing team to build and execute a content calendar aligned with Mactores' service areas and AWS/Snowflake/Databricks partnership priorities
- Repurpose long-form technical content into social-ready formats for LinkedIn, newsletters, and partner channels
- Contribute to co-branded content initiatives with AWS, Snowflake, and Databricks (blogs, webinars, roadshow content)
- Track content performance metrics (organic traffic, time on page, conversions, backlinks) and use data to refine the content strategy
What are we looking for?
- 3+ years of experience creating technical content in the cloud, data engineering, or analytics domain
- Demonstrated ability to write L300/L400-level content — you should be comfortable writing about topics like distributed query optimization, schema evolution in Iceberg, PL/SQL-to-PostgreSQL conversion, or Spark-on-EMR tuning without needing significant hand-holding from engineers
- Hands-on familiarity or working knowledge of at least two of the following platforms: AWS, Snowflake, Databricks, Azure
- Strong understanding of SEO fundamentals — keyword research, on-page SEO, content architecture, backlink strategy, and performance tracking
- Proficiency with AI writing and productivity tools and a demonstrated habit of using them to improve output quality and efficiency
- Excellent written English — ability to write with precision, clarity, and technical authority
- Experience with a CMS platform (HubSpot, WordPress, or equivalent)
- Strong portfolio of published technical content, ideally including deep-dive blogs or whitepapers on cloud or data topics
You'll be preferred if
- Certification in one or more of: AWS, Snowflake, Databricks, or Azure.
- Certification or coursework in Technical Writing or Content Strategy.
- Experience writing content for an AWS Partner, ISV, or cloud consultancy.
- Familiarity with Apache Iceberg, Apache Spark, dbt, Kafka, or similar open-source data technologies.
- Experience contributing to or ghostwriting for AWS blogs, Databricks blog, or Snowflake Medium publications.
- Working knowledge of HTML/Markdown for CMS publishing
