Aqua Finance is seeking a motivated Technical Business Analyst Intern to join our team this summer! This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience analyzing business processes, working with data, and supporting system enhancements and integrations. You’ll contribute to meaningful projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and develop valuable technical and analytical skills in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
Essential Functions
Assist in gathering and analyzing business requirements to support system enhancements and integrations
Write and run SQL queries to validate data and support troubleshooting efforts
Review system and application logs to help identify and resolve issues
Support and monitor system integrations (APIs, file transfers, ETL processes) to ensure accurate data flow
Participate in impact analysis to understand how system changes affect other applications and data models
Help document system workflows, data mappings, and operational procedures
Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by validating test data and backend results
Collaborate with developers and cross-functional teams to reproduce issues, test fixes, and support production releases
Required Education and Experience
Currently enrolled at a University or College at a minimum of Junior Undergraduate Status
Pursuing a degree in Information Systems, Business Analytics, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field
Completed relevant coursework in business analysis, systems analysis, databases, programming, or data analytics prior to the start of the internship
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate business needs into technical concepts
Internship will run from mid-May through mid-August
Ability to commit to 40 hours per week during the internship period
Availability to participate for at least 9 weeks of the 12-week program
This is an onsite internship; interns will be required to work at our corporate location in Wausau, WI for the duration of the internship.

This position is an office-based position where you must be able to sit for long periods of time. The employee will be working on a computer 90% of the time.
