Build and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, data models, and DAX measures for trading and business insights. Extract, transform, validate, cleanse, and analyze data using SQL while supporting the organization’s data platform. Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into reporting solutions and progressively contribute to AWS-based data workflows, cloud storage, and data pipelines.
Job Purpose
As a Data Analyst, you will build and maintain data reporting and analytics solutions that provide trading and business teams with actionable insights. You will be responsible for developing Power BI dashboards, managing and supporting the data platform, ensuring data quality, and enabling data-driven decision-making while progressively building expertise in cloud-based data infrastructure and AWS technologies.
Responsibilities- Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports that provide clear visibility into trading and business performance.
- Develop robust data models and DAX measures to ensure accurate, scalable, and high-performance reporting solutions.
- Extract, transform, and prepare data from databases, spreadsheets, and internal systems for reporting and analytical purposes.
- Perform data validation, data cleansing, and quality assurance checks to ensure the accuracy and reliability of business information.
- Write and optimize SQL queries to retrieve, join, and analyze datasets required for reporting and ad-hoc business requests.
- Manage and support the organization's data platform, ensuring data availability, consistency, and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with trading, business, and data teams to understand reporting requirements and deliver meaningful analytical solutions.
- Support and progressively contribute to AWS-based data workflows, including cloud storage, data pipelines, and platform enhancements.
- Bachelor's degree in data science, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related analytical discipline.
- 0-2 years of experience; relevant internships, academic projects, or personal projects involving Power BI, SQL, or data analytics will be considered.
- Working knowledge of Power BI, including report development, dashboard creation, DAX, and data modelling concepts.
- Basic to intermediate proficiency in SQL with the ability to query, manipulate, and analyze structured datasets.
- Understanding of data structures, data quality principles, data validation techniques, and analytical methodologies.
- Interest in cloud technologies and a willingness to develop expertise in AWS-based data engineering and data platform management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify trends, patterns, and business insights from data.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to translate business requirements into reporting solutions.
- High attention to detail and commitment to ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and reliability.
- Self-motivated learner with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, adapt quickly, and take ownership of deliverables.
