The Impact of a Talent Experience Specialist at Coupa:

The Talent  Experience Specialist is a key driver of organizational culture and professional development, responsible for providing essential operational and programmatic support for our career growth and employee recognition initiatives. This Specialist role supports both career growth and employee recognition by serving as the operational backbone of our experience initiatives— administrating internal program frameworks and vendor partner platforms like LinkedIn Learning and oversees the seamless execution of our employee recognition programs. This role requires a blend of expertise in career growth and employee recognition and the ability to influence and partner with senior executives to cultivate a high-impact leadership culture
Reporting directly to the Sr. Director of Talent Experience and partnering predominantly with the Sr Talent Experience Manager, responsible for cultivating the Career Experience platform at Coupa, the Career Experience Specialist is responsible for supporting various career learning platforms (e.g., LinkedIn Learning), the day-to-day management and administration of employee-driven recognition initiatives, and for capturing the analytics and data outputs of these programs. The Specialist ensures that growth and culture programs are well-coordinated, clearly communicated, and easily accessible to all employees.

What You’ll Do

  • Career Pathways & Learning Support
  • LinkedIn Learning Proficiency: Remains knowledgeable on the current and roadmapped features and capabilities of LinkedIn Learning and then embeds this knowledge into our programs and processes to enhance our internal client experience. 
  • Collaborates with internal stakeholders: Works closely with several internal Coupa teams including, but not limited to, Talent Strategy (Talent Development, L&D, and Talent Strategy Operations ), Marketing, and where necessary, the Compensation team to ensure the Career Experience program is not only properly aligned with strategic organizational goals but also remains relevant and timely for our internal clients.
  • Continually coordinate career pathway mapping: Ensures that our career pathway and framework information remains up-to-date and accessible in LinkedIn and LinkedIn Learning,  providing easy to find learning and career development resources relevant to employee growth.
  • Maintain and update user-facing materials: Works with the Learning Experience team to create, review, and update all career development guides, toolkits, and intranet pages to ensure information is current, accessible, and easily consumable for our audience.
  • Metrics tracking and reporting: Responsible for the capture, analysis, and reporting of surveys, program attraction/ take rates and systems utilization against key metrics and organizational strategies related to career experience programming.
  • Recognition & Engagement Execution
  • Employee Recognition:  Assists in the launch of employee-driven peer-to-peer recognition programming, including Coupa’s Values Multiplier Awards, Excellence Club, and various quarterly recognition activities, meant to bolster organizational participation in our recognition programs . Here, the Specialist will implement programs that encourage recognition and nomination for organization-wide annual and quarterly recognition programs. They will work collaboratively with organizational HRPBs, Sales, Marketing, and other Talent Experience colleagues to build, communicate, launch, capture, and analyze global recognition program participation. Additionally, the Career Experience Specialist will coordinate the order, shipment tracking, and receipt verification of our VMA swag award merchandise.
  • Quarterly Career Experience logistics: Working with Learning Consultants, internal SMEs, and/or outside vendors, the Specialist will create meaningful quarterly professional and career development programming, including internal Coupa job fairs, mentorship meetups, and regional guest speakers.
  • Program communications: Using approved communication templates and channels, the Specialists works with the Communications team and Learning Consultants to create a communications plan for each Career Experience initiative, including, but not limited to, emails, newsletters, and Slack posts, to drive awareness and participation in career and recognition programs.
  • Point of Contact: Acts as the single regional point of contact for the organization for all things Career Experience, regarding recognition platforms and career development resources.
  • Vendor relationships: Partners with internal teams, such as Talent Strategy Solutions and external vendor consultants to ensure that our 3rd-party services (LinkedIn, Simplrr, and / or our contracted LMS) remain relevant to the needs for our client base for the purposes of professional and career development and peer-to-peer recognition.
  • Metrics tracking and reporting: Responsible for the capture, analysis, and reporting of surveys, program attraction/ take rates and systems utilization against key metrics and organizational strategies related to talent experience programming.

What You Will Bring to Coupa

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in HR, Learning & Development, or Program Coordination with a focus in professional or career development.
  • Strong technical proficiency in managing learning platforms (LMS) or large-scale resources like LinkedIn Learning.
  • Proven organizational skills with an ability to manage multiple logistical tasks, project timelines, and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Strong written communication skills, specifically for drafting employee-facing announcements, "how-to" guides, and marketing content.
  • Collaborative mindset, with the ability to work effectively across different teams (L&D, Marketing, HRBPs).
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and maintain program momentum in a fast-paced environment.
