Join Procore's Spatial Data Organization as a Staff Engineer and help us unlock productivity gains for construction workers and contractors worldwide. In this role, you'll design, develop, and support location-aware experiences that positively impact the entire construction lifecycle—from tracking progress and managing logistics to optimizing resource allocation through intuitive, map-based interfaces.
Our Spatial Data Organization focuses on enabling spatially aware experiences across Procore products. The team currently includes Maps and Location teams, supporting global stakeholders and customers.
This role is based in our Bangalore office, where you'll partner closely with a team predominantly located on the US West Coast.
What You'll Bring:
8+ years of combined software engineering experience, with a strong emphasis on building scalable web-based solutions.
Proven ability to work with software, platforms, and infrastructure at scale.
Demonstrated experience leading or significantly contributing to large engineering initiatives or technology changes.
A clear understanding of how to balance short-term needs with long-term strategic goals.
Strong experience documenting complex solutions and fostering team clarity.
Excellent debugging skills.
A BS or MS degree in Computer Science, a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with TypeScript, React, Node.js, Python, Postgres, AWS Cloud Services, Terraform, Ruby on Rails, and Service-Oriented Architecture.
Experience or strong interest in GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and data visualization, particularly with mapping libraries like Mapbox, Maplibre, Leaflet, or geospatial databases like PostGIS.
