Job Title: Staff Platform Engineer
Location: Manyata Tech Park, Bangalore
Business & Team: CTO - GHS
Impact & contribution: The Platform Engineering team in CBA Technology is responsible for world-leading network technology and operations across CommBank supporting our workforce across Australia and international locations. You’ll manage and optimise the platforms used to power our entire business. You’ll have the opportunity to take responsibility for continuous improvement, ensuring our systems are simpler, faster and more secure.
Roles & responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain the Commvault backup and recovery environment.
- Perform regular system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems, and key processes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to backup and recovery processes.
- Ensure compliance with data protection policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate Commvault solutions with other systems and applications.
- Develop and maintain documentation for backup and recovery processes.
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior team members.
- Design and implement disaster recovery plans and strategies.
Essential skills:
- Minimum 12 years of experience in relevant field
- Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with Commvault software.
- Proficiency in AWS, including experience with EC2, S3, and IAM.
- Experience with automation tools and scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Ansible.
Education Qualification: Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in engineering in Computer Science/Information Technology.
