Job Title: Staff Platform Engineer – SAP Hana DBA
Location: Bangalore

We are looking to hire a Senior Platform Engineer to develop and deliver the vision for our Public Cloud Modernization transformation within the Core Banking Product Crew in Retail Technology. This high availability, modernized platform powers many critical elements of the customer experience for our products
Roles & Responsibilities
- SAP HANA DBA Support for Production & Non-Production environments on cloud both on Scale up and Scale-out architecture.
- Plan and execute upgrades to new versions of SAP HANA and associated components.
- HANA Installation on Scale-Up and Scale-out
- HANA SPS / Patch Upgrade
- HANA Revision Upgrade
- HANA Cockpit Upgrade
- Should have strong hands-on experience with end-to-end implementation / upgrade projects in Scale-out architecture of HANA managing enterprise grade Database.
- Perform system analysis, sizing, and performance tuning.
- Manage technical aspects of the upgrade process, including database migration and system configuration.
- Demonstrated experience in SAP HANA database administration using - Red Hat and SUSE Linux.
- Experience with high-availability and disaster recovery and HSR processes in on-prem and AWS Cloud environments.
- Observability of DB – Monitoring skills providing automated DB monitoring capabilities.
- SQL Development skills and Knowledge on Table partitioning and Distribution.
- Must have been part of teams that have upgraded and / or migrated DBs from on-prem to Cloud.
- Must understand Cloud Storage, file systems and BACKINT processes
- Maintain DB stability which includes backups/restores; monitor disk allocations; troubleshoot performance issues; reorg tables/indexes; parameter changes; monitor overall utilization.
- Expertise in SAP HANA backup recovery scenarios.
- Expertise in HANA Administration including troubleshooting, installation, configuration and performance tuning.
Essential Skills
- 14 Years+ of SAP hands on experience as technical or non-technical.
- 5 years+ Expertise in the following areas:
- SAP HANA Database
- Strong communication skills both written and spoken in English
- High level of communication skills, including the demonstrated ability to solicit opinions, accept feedback
- Knowledge ITIL, Experience on SNOW is advantageous.
- Ability to work in a highly integrated and heterogeneous environment.
- Experience in operating effectively as part of SAP cross functional teams.
Education Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree/master’s degree in engineering in Computer Science/Information Technology or any similar stream
