The role involves leading the development and maintenance of cloud-native applications with a focus on infrastructure security. Responsibilities include enhancing DevOps operations, collaboration across teams, managing incident processes, and delivering on-demand support as part of an on-call rotation.

What you will do:
- Take a lead role in developing, implementing, and maintaining highly reliable and scalable cloud-native applications and services, focusing on the secure and efficient operation of the infrastructure.
- Drive the enhancement and optimization of our DevOps operations, managing the entire software development life cycle within the SRE domain.
- Collaborate closely with Operations, Systems Engineering, Quality Assurance, Security, and Testing teams to ensure seamless product launches and continuous improvement of our software products.
- Act as a key contributor in shaping and maintaining the reliability and performance of our cloud-based infrastructure, ensuring adherence to best practices and security standards.
- Define and report infrastructure and operations metrics/KPIs (Cost, Performance, Failures, etc.) and present it to the leadership.
- Evaluate tradeoffs between cost, performance, and reliability when making architectural decisions.
- Define the organization’s incident management processes, including severity definitions, escalation policies, and evaluation standards.
- Participate in on-call support as part of a rotational schedule, providing timely resolution to critical issues and incidents.
What you need:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in software engineering/ computer science or related discipline & 6+ years of work experience as a DevSecOps Engineer in the field of cloud-based product development.
- Hands-on scripting experience using Python, Bash, PowerShell or similar.
- Extensive experience in provisioning and managing infrastructure in public cloud environments, with a preference for expertise in Azure and, optionally, in AWS.
- Experience with configuration management, implementing CI/CD pipelines, deployment, and IaC tools like Terraform, Helm, Ansible or Chef, Artifactory, and GitLab.
- Experience deploying and orchestrating containers in production environments using cloud technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, App Service, and related tools.
- Experience adapting DevOps tools and processes for operating systems such as Apple OSX, iOS, Android, Windows, Linux.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to utilize monitoring and log analytics tools effectively.
- Past expsoure to software development in a cloud-native environment with technologies like .Net Core, Python, Django, etc.
