About the job
The Staff Accountant role will play a critical part in the day-to-day general accounting operations, including month-end close, account reconciliations, and financial reporting. Additionally, the position will support revenue accounting processes and ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, including ASC 606.
Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll:
- Participate in the monthly financial close process, including preparing journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
- Assist with revenue recognition procedures, including reviewing contracts and deferral schedules under ASC 606
- Support preparation of monthly financial reports for various partners
- Assist in internal and external audits requests
- Help improve and document accounting processes and controls

*Required:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a Finance/Accounting related function
- Proficient working knowledge of GAAP and operational month-end close processes
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Advanced Excel skills, including complex functions
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
Desired:
- Master’s Degree in Accounting or Finance and/or CPA certification
- 3+ years in public accounting or experience working at a fast growing company
- Experience with Oracle or other large ERP systems
- Experience with Zuora and/or Zuora Revenue
Location
This role will be remote, and based in India.
Travel
