We are looking for a Senior Staff Software Development Engineer to join our Engineering Strategy, Planning & Analytics team. Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Engineering Strategy, Planning & Analytics you'll be responsible for:
- Designing and operating scalable data pipelines to quantify SaaS engineering excellence (delivery, quality, velocity, reliability, security)
- Defining metrics frameworks (e.g., DORA/SPACE), translating trade-offs into executive insights, and building actionable dashboards
- Analyzing SDLC/DevSecOps data for high-fidelity signals, validating data integrity, and resolving source ambiguity
- Partnering with engineering leaders to identify bottlenecks, run analyses, and drive measurable process improvements
- Mentoring junior engineers and establishing best practices for data engineering, visualization, and governance
- 8+ years software development; 3+ years building data platforms/pipelines at SaaS scale
- Bachelor degree in Software Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience
- Passionate about the “process” of Software Development and care about improving it
- Proficient at and enthusiast of AI-assisted development in Python, Go, or Java; expert at SQL and db design; data modeling, transformation and validation; statistical analysis
- SDLC/DevOps tooling: GitLab, CI, Jira; Metrics frameworks (DORA, SPACE); Cloud data stack (AWS/GCP/Azure); warehousing (BigQuery/Redshift/Snowflake); custom web dashboards (React/Node)
- Instrumenting quality/reliability signals, metric taxonomy, lineage, metadata catalogs; dbt or similar transformations
- Executive UX/product sense; data storytelling; outcome-focused OKRs
- Executive communication, stakeholder management and mentoring
