Sr Quality Engineer I

• 8+ years of overall experience in Quality Assurance and software testing
• 5+ years of experience in API testing, including both manual and automated testing
• Strong understanding of REST and SOAP web services
• Strong knowledge of HTTP methods, status codes, headers, and request/response validation
• Hands-on experience with API testing tools such as Postman and Insomnia
• Experience developing automated API test scripts using frameworks such as REST Assured
• Proficiency in one or more programming or scripting languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions
• Strong understanding of JSON and XML data formats, parsing, and validation
• Experience with test data management, dynamic payload generation, and parameterization across multiple environments
• Knowledge of API security testing, including authentication and authorization mechanisms such as OAuth, JWT, and SSL
• Experience with performance and load testing tools such as JMeter or Gatling
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills, including log analysis and defect investigation
• Experience using monitoring and observability tools such as New Relic and Datadog
• Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile development methodologies

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience testing enterprise-class applications and distributed systems
• Experience validating Swagger/OpenAPI specifications and API documentation
• Experience working with microservices architecture and service-to-service integrations
• Familiarity with database validation and backend testing using SQL
• Experience with test automation framework design and maintenance
• Experience supporting highly regulated industries such as healthcare, finance, or insurance
• Familiarity with cloud-based environments such as AWS or Azure
• Experience in release validation, regression strategy, and risk-based testing approaches
