In this role you will take end to end responsibility for the regional strategy and tactics related to the designated HERE product portfolio in Japan. You will utilize in-depth market knowledge to drive requirements related to the regional HERE portfolio in order to optimize regional customer opportunities.You will drive innovation and product development via well-defined market requirements documents and support continuous improvement in our product lifecycle.You will define investment priorities in the region to maximize ROI in each industry segment. You will also lead the Go-To -Market efforts for the portfolio and communicate both internally and externally regarding portfolio design, investment strategies and strategic and tactical positioning.
Your main responsibilities include :
- Developing a deep understanding of the regional market and key use cases of the HERE portfolio (Content and Software). Demonstrating thought leadership, driving substantial enhancements in commercial performance within the market.
- Collaborating with global product managers to define investment priorities for scaling or expanding the HERE portfolio. Managing a comprehensive product roadmap tailored to the region's needs.
- Continuously improving our Go-To-Market strategies and tactics and effectively collaborating with Product Marketing. Driving adoption of the HERE portfolio among target customers and partners.
- Continuously monitoring performance and initiating efforts to adjust strategy to ensure expected business outcomes.
- Driving strategic engagements and product partnerships with key partners in the region.
- Representing HERE Technologies at external events and forums including speaking engagements.
Who are you?
You will have success in this role if you possess the following skills, competencies and experience:
- A Degree in Engineering or Business or associated fields.
- 12+ years relevant professional experience in tech/software industry, with at least 8 years in a product management role.
- Proven track record of managing all aspects of a successful product throughout its lifecycle
- Familiarity with Software Development Practices and Web Services
- Knowledge and/or understanding of Maps and Location-Based services is a plus, though not mandatory
- Experience in motivating and managing others at various levels of seniority
- Skilled at working effectively with globally dispersed cross functional teams in a matrixed organization
- Ability to collect relevant data and analyze it to produce recommendations, points of view and perform root-cause analysis
- Experience with financial modeling techniques like NPV, ROI, IRR, Ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions
- Self-starter with ability to lead various levels of projects in the company
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in Japanese and English
