Primary Function:
The Senior Manager Reporting is responsible for gathering, analyzing, and presenting data to various stakeholders in the organization. This role is critical in delivering insights that influence decision-making, improve operational efficiency, and drive business growth. They will collaborate with data architects and engineers while leading a team of report designers and developers to ensure that business objectives and requirements are translated to data products and report solutions.
Core Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with business partners to help them understand trends, patterns, and insights in their data, to design their reports and dashboards, enabling them to make informed decisions.
- Assess reporting landscape across Ingredion partnering with digital and business stakeholders.
- Establish business intelligence and data visualization center of excellence.
- Establish reporting standards, guidelines, frameworks, and governance.
- Be current with the latest trends in tools and technology associated with modern data visualization capabilities based on our current organizational needs.
- Design and implement a catalog of all operational and analytical reports and dashboards including ownership, access, data lineage, and business glossary.
- Actively participate in all ongoing initiatives related to the data and analytics ecosystem, including capital projects, operational projects, and proof of concept work.
- Manage full-time and contracting BI/reporting professionals, setting goals, ensuring high-quality work output, and providing feedback, along with the ability to inspire and empower team.
- Collaborate with business architect, data architect, data engineers, AI/ML engineers, and business stakeholders/executives to understand reporting needs and to strategize solutions for specific initiatives.
- Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies for data management, storage, and analytics.
- Be responsible for end-to-end reporting strategy for data lifecycle management.
- Mentor and upskill fellow team members.
- Contribute to Ingredion internal groups and forums.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, or related field.
- 7+ years of experience in Business Intelligence/ Reporting tools such as Power BI, SAP BW, Business Objects, Tableau, etc.
- Strong analytical, interpretation and reporting skills.
- Expert level of proficiency in building SQL queries.
- Experience with databases like Oracle, SQL Server, etc. and Big Data/Cloud platforms like Microsoft Azure, Google Big Query, Databricks, AWS, Cloudera, etc.
- Experience with using analytic services on curated or semantic layer over unstructured, semi-structured, and structured data.
- Proficient with Microsoft office suite tools (Powerpoint, Word, Excel, etc.)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to successfully execute projects.
- Ability to multitask and meet aggressive deadlines efficiently and effectively.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, experience working in collaborative environment.
- Ability to apply analytical and creative thought process.
- Proven success in contributing to a multi-location team-oriented environment.
- Certification in any Reporting technology preferably in Power BI as well as any cloud-based technology.
