Job Description:
- Design, Engineering, sizing and selection of instrumentation systems for Water/Waste Water projects.
- Development of PLC architecture for Control and monitoring system. Equipment specifications.
- Preparation of Instrumentation Project Deliverables like Instrument index, IO list, Inst data sheets, Hookup.
- Generation of RFQs, review and approval of Vendor bids, review and approval of drawings/documents submitted by vendor
- Selections, sizing of instruments and finalization of instrument model nos
- Review of P&IDs, HFD, PFD, Flow Diagrams
- Develop Loop Diagrams, I/O Lists, and Cause & Effect Diagram
- Prepare RFQs and perform technical evaluation of PLC, SCADA
- Review panel GA, wiring drawings, and vendor documents
- Exposure in basics of field instrumentation, cable-junction box schedules.
- Knowledge of basic electrical engineering require, able to review SLD, Starter schematic, Switchgear panels, cable sizing etc
- Should have knowledge of Motorized valve wiring, Mechanical equipment local control panel wiring.
- Prepare and review Cable Schedules, JB Schedules, JB Datasheets, and JB Wiring Drawings
- Preparation of Engineering documentations pertaining to Instruments, Operation philosophies, process flow diagrams, test procedures, functional loop schematics, system architectures, P&ID’s, Data sheets, drawings etc .
- Selection of communication protocols, integration of field instruments to PLC and SCADA systems.
- Preparation & Checking of all design deliverables like Hook-up drawings, Loop Drawings, Block drawings, JB drawings, Cable Schedule, Cable routing, Instrument Location drawings, Layouts, control room drawings.
- Component sizing calculations for UPS, Cables, Cable Tray,
- Handle the issues arising at the client site and providing necessary customer support.
- Technical Coordination with customer/consultants
Key responsibilities:
- Engineering, design, and implementation and automation system for water treatment plants.
Engineering to enhance skills and optimize solutions and reliability.
- Engineering deliveries in scheduled time in planned way.
- Releasing of technical specification for procurements, coordination, extending support in procurements.
- Understand and provide end to end solution for a problem, be there in the entire project pertaining to instrumentation.
- Inter discipline, Coordination with internal stake holders, suppliers, customers/consultants.
- Shall be capable of handling C&I activities pertaining to control system and field instrumentation.
- Extending support for installation, testing and commissioning of system.
- Understanding of project requirements and develop the road map.
- Field support, commissioning assistance.
Software Skills: AutoCAD, MS Excel, MS Word

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of electrical equipment and valves etc is an added advantage.
- Should be able to interpret customer requirement and design and develop the functional documents.
- Should be aware of latest Interface technology and communication devices.
- Creating detailed documentation or manuals for functional projects.
- Workable knowledge in AutoCAD/Eplan or any other drawing making tool.
Desired profile of candidate
- Education –Diploma/BE degree in Electrical/Electronics and instrumentation Engineering or comparable/similar education.
- Experience - At least 6 to 8 years professional experience in project engineering. Water/Wastewater Treatment project engineering experience is preferred.
- Site experience is preferred.
- Must be conversant with latest technology in instrumentation, updated to latest market.
- Awareness of applicable standards updated with latest applicable practices.
- Willing to travel and work from Client site when required.
- To be work closely with site teams for commissioning.
- Fair knowledge on sewage treatment process.
Language skills:
- Good oral and written command of English language.
Special knowledge:
- Knowledge in various analytical instruments, protocols, hook up of instruments
- Flexibility, team spirit, independent working and communication skills
