Job requirements
We are seeking a bright, energetic and detail oriented individual with prior payroll experience and a strong desire to deepen expertise in India Payroll. This role involves accurate, timely and compliant processing of monthly payroll along with statutory compliance, audits and reporting.Location: Powai, Mumbai
Reporting to: Team Lead – People Support Team
Payroll Operations
- Execute end to end monthly payroll for assigned entities with 100% accuracy ensuring timely and accurate salary disbursement.
- Validate input files (new joiners, exits, salary changes, variable pay, reimbursements, one time payments).
- Perform pre and post payroll checks to ensure data integrity.
- Process payroll within defined SLAs and ensure error free output.
- Current focus is India payroll with potential exposure to international payroll (UK / US / Portugal)
Compliance & Statutory Requirements
- Ensure accurate payroll data is shared with the vendor for statutory filings.
- Coordinate with vendor to confirm timely filing and reconciliation of monthly, quarterly and annual statutory returns.
- Stay updated on changes in payroll laws and regulations.
Employee Support & Query Resolution
- Act as first point of contact for payroll queries and resolve issues within SLA using Workday help cases.
- Conduct payroll sessions and training programs for colleagues.
Reporting & Audits
- Prepare monthly payroll reports, variance analysis and SOP’s.
- Handle payroll reconciliations with Finance for payouts and accounting.
- Support year end activities including Form 16 and audit schedules.
- Assist internal and external audit with required documentation.
System & Process Improvement
- Work on payroll systems / tools including Workday, Pluxee and HGS portal
- Identify and participate in process enhancements and automation initiatives.
