Sr Associate - Accounting Advisory

Riveron's clients are navigating increasingly complex accounting, financial reporting, and regulatory requirements, often while managing significant transactions, rapid growth, and transformation. Our Capital Markets Services practice works alongside management teams to help them prepare for and execute these critical events.

This Associate / Senior Associate role sits within Capital Markets Services and is functionally aligned with our Accounting Advisory service line. The role is focused primarily on IPOs, de-SPAC transactions, SEC reporting, and other capital markets transactions, while also supporting business events involving significant accounting and financial reporting complexity.

Our work spans the full transaction lifecycle, from initial readiness and transaction planning through registration and execution, as well as the transition to operating as a public company. We work closely with management teams, boards, bankers, legal counsel, and auditors across accounting, financial reporting, FP&A, tax, internal controls, governance, risk, and technology.

Because Riveron does not provide audit, review, or compilation services, our teams work directly alongside management and play a hands-on role in helping clients execute complex projects and transactions. Associates and Senior Associates are expected to bring strong technical accounting capabilities, attention to detail, intellectual curiosity, and a willingness to take ownership of deliverables in a fast-paced environment.

• CA/ ACCA /CPA degree in Accounting or a related field

• Associate: 2-4 years of relevant experience in public accounting, accounting advisory, transaction advisory, SEC reporting, or consulting

• Senior Associate: 4-7 years of relevant experience in public accounting, accounting advisory, transaction advisory, SEC reporting, or consulting

• Strong foundation in U.S. GAAP and financial reporting requirements

• Exposure Technical accounting Memo US GAAP/IFRS ( Lease ASC 842, Revenue ASC 606 , ASC 805, Debt and Equity)

• Exposure to SEC reporting requirements, including Forms S-1, S-4, 10-K, and 10-Q preferred

• Experience supporting IPO readiness, capital markets transactions, M&A activities, carve-outs, or other complex accounting and reporting matters preferred

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines while maintaining attention to detail

• Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients and engagement teams

• Ability to work independently while also collaborating in a team-oriented environment

• Comfortable operating in a dynamic, fast-paced setting with a high degree of accountability

• Demonstrated commitment to professional development and continuous learning

• Support IPO, capital markets, and accounting advisory engagements for public and private company clients

• Assist clients with IPO readiness assessments and implementation of readiness recommendations

• Prepare and review workpapers, accounting analyses, technical accounting research, and client deliverables

• Support SEC filing preparation and review efforts, including S-1, S-4, 10-K, and 10-Q filings

• Assist in addressing SEC comment letters and other regulatory reporting requirements

• Support accounting and financial reporting workstreams related to IPOs, de-SPAC transactions, spin-offs, debt and equity offerings, and other capital markets activities

• Research and analyze complex accounting issues, including business combinations, revenue recognition, leases, debt and equity instruments, carve-outs, and other transaction-related matters

• Work directly with client management, legal counsel, auditors, underwriters, and other stakeholders to gather information and support transaction execution

• Assist clients in developing and improving public company financial reporting processes and controls

• Support financial reporting requirements associated with acquisitions, divestitures, restructurings, refinancings, and other significant business events

• Collaborate with Riveron's Accounting Advisory, Business Transformation, Risk Advisory, Tax, and other service lines to deliver integrated solutions

• Manage assigned workstreams and deliverables while communicating status, risks, and issues to engagement leadership

• Contribute to recruiting, training, knowledge sharing, and other firm initiatives

• Mentor and support junior team members as appropriate
