Job Description/Required Skills

The experienced candidate will assist in managing, monitoring, auditing and updating our existing SQL enterprise architecture. Our architecture includes SQL Server Replication, Availability Groups, Reporting Services, and Integration Services on VM Windows servers. A list of activities includes but is not limited to: initiating builds of new virtual machine servers, installing SQL Server, backup and restore (Cohesity), monitoring our environments (Quest Spotlight on SQL Server), migrating databases and processes within those databases to other SQL Servers (on-prem or cloud), deconstruction of existing stored procedures and functions and processes associated with databases.

Must be able to troubleshoot:

SQL Agent job failures

Performance problems

SQL Server Reporting Services

SQL Server Availability Groups

SQL Server Integration Services

Desired Skills

Azure SQL DB experience

Azure SQL Managed Instance experience
