Job Summary
The Social Media Marketing Intern will support the planning and execution of social media strategies for marquee sports properties such as the World Cup, IPL, and other live sporting events across digital platforms. The role offers hands-on exposure to real-time sports content, fan engagement, and platform-first digital storytelling in a fast-paced, high-impact environment.
About the Team
The Social Media Marketing team drives end-to-end digital initiatives for all our marquee sports properties, including social media campaigns. The team closely tracks emerging digital and social media trends, manages the network’s online presence across platforms, and ensures consistent, engaging, and fan-first communication for sports properties.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and adapt engaging sports content in Kannada for social media platforms.
- Cover live matches (PKL, cricket, etc.) with timely posts, updates, and fan interactions.
- Localize content to suit Kannada-speaking audiences.
- Track trends, memes, and conversations to boost fan engagement.
- Collaborate with the regional social media team, designers, and editors
Skills and Attributes for Success
- Fluency in Kannada (written and spoken).
- Strong interest in sports, especially Kabaddi and Cricket.
- Active knowledge of social media platforms.
- Flexibility in work days including evenings/weekends during live matches and record contents with commentators,if & when needed.
Preferred Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Mass Communication, Media Studies, Journalism, Digital Media, or a related field.
- Candidates from sports management or communication-focused programs with a strong interest in sports and digital media will be preferred.
