Job Summary: SPIR Technical Coordinator (Product Support Documentation Engineer)
- The SPIR Technical Coordinator plays a pivotal role in the development and completion of Spare Parts Interchangeability Record (SPIR) documents, serving as a vital link between project personnel, component vendors, and the Aftermarket team. This position reports to the DGM Project - Flares and is responsible for producing SPIR documents as a key project deliverable in consultation with ZHQ/ZIN/Other GL's as applicable.
Functional Job Duties:
- Spare Parts Recommendations: Receive and consolidate all sub-contract and proprietary recommendations, including associated costs for spare parts.
- Pricing Preparation: Prepare pricing for spare parts in alignment with company guidelines and contractual requirements.
- Customer and Supplier Coordination: Collaborate with capital projects ad purchasing teams to ensure the seamless transfer of customer contact details and supplier SPIR information to the Aftermarket team.
- Supplier Coordination: Expedite and coordinate with suppliers to obtain sub-contract SPIR information, ensuring timely delivery.
- Service Engineer Collaboration: Work closely with Service Engineers in the compilation of SPIR documents, gathering technical insights.
- Timely Submission: Ensure the timely submission of SPIR documents, meeting project deadlines and contractual obligations.
- Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Collaborate with designated colleagues to maintain a globally accessible share site, providing process technology specific, generic SPIR requirement templates. These templates facilitate ease of access and improve the efficiency of future SPIR creation. Additionally, assist in the creation of proposals that emphasize the criticality of specific parts to the function of the system or subsystem and their potential impact on system performance incase of failure. These proposals serve as a guide to assist buying decisions.
- Assistance to PE's: Assist PE's in preparation of Progress Reports, Operating Manual, CRS preparation, SAGE inputs, invoicing abstracts, etc. to speed up project activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering - Mechanical Engineering.
- 5-10 years' experience

- Proficiency in spoken and written English for effective communication.
- Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
- Familiarity with technical documentation, data management, and spare parts management.
- Follow up with component vendors (valves, instruments, blowers, etc.) to gather technical and pricing information.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet project deadlines, and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Proficiency in using data management and sharing tools and software.
- Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders.
