The Sourcing Manager will drive growth in sourcing and supplier relationships, manage purchasing flows, ensure compliance, and lead negotiations to optimize costs.
Your Role Role Summary:Drive volume and value growth for focused products exported from selected Asian regions, leveraging deep industry knowledge and strong supplier relationships. Align with Global and Regional Product Managers and with local organizations to deliver market leadership ambitions. Proactively scout for materials and suppliers to strengthen the sourcing pipeline.Mandate:Own supplier relationships and purchasing flows to fulfill strategic objectives, ensuring cost efficiency, supply reliability, and compliance.Objectives and KPIs:
- Volume Growth: Achieve >35% growth by 2028.
- Products management: Manage and develop high traffic (HT) products and their suppliers.
- Supplier Base Optimization: Consolidate and improve supplier base by product category to maximize leverage and business development.
- Supplier Development: Identify, onboard, and develop suppliers and traders for HT products and new SKUs.
- Supplier NPS: Improve supplier satisfaction and relationship metrics.
- Compliance: Maintain 100% adherence to regulatory and company standards.
- Purchasing Flow Management: Oversee end-to-end purchasing processes with suppliers, ensuring timely execution, cost optimization, and alignment with demand expectations.
- Supplier Strategy & Development: Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to secure competitive advantages. Identify and develop new suppliers and trading partners for HT products and emerging SKUs. Consolidate supplier base strategically by product category to enhance efficiency and leverage.
- Product Growth & Growth: Collaborate with internal teams to design supply programs supporting growth objectives.
- Negotiations & Cost Management: Lead negotiations on pricing, logistics, and terms to ensure cost-effective purchasing decisions.
- Market Intelligence: Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to inform sourcing strategies. Proactively identify risks (geopolitical, economic, regulatory) and implement mitigation plans.
- Cross-Regional Coordination: Work with global sourcing teams to ensure supply consistency and risk mitigation.
- Compliance & Sustainability: Ensure all sourcing activities meet compliance and sustainability standards.
- Special Projects: Execute additional strategic projects as assigned by management.
- Minimum 8 years in global sourcing/procurement of chemical products.
- Proven track record in supplier development, purchasing flow management, and strategic sourcing.
- Fluent in English; additional Asian languages a plus.
- Expertise in global sourcing and interregional markets (international sales experience preferred).
- Strong negotiation, risk management, and supplier development skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficient in market analysis, regulatory compliance, and procurement ERP systems.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and results-driven.
- Ability to work effectively in multicultural teams and travel internationally as required.
- Bachelor’s degree required a master’s degree in chemistry or business administration is preferred.
