Role Overview:

As a Software Engineering Manager in the Customer Engineering department, you will play a pivotal role in leading a team of talented engineers focused on delivering high-quality, customer-centric software solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Product Management, Customer Success, Delivery and Sales, to ensure our products meet and exceed customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of software engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Project Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of software projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards.
• Customer Collaboration: Work closely with customers to understand their needs, gather requirements, and translate them into actionable engineering tasks.
• Technical Expertise: Drive technical excellence and best practices within the team, including code reviews, testing, and automation.
• Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with internal stakeholders like Product Management, Sales, Customer Success, Delivery management and other teams to align engineering efforts with business goals and customer needs.
• Resource Allocation: Manage resource allocation, balancing team workload to ensure optimal productivity and efficiency.
• Problem Solving: Address technical challenges and provide solutions, ensuring the team can overcome obstacles and deliver robust software.
• Continuous Improvement: Implement and refine processes and tools to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the engineering team.
• Performance Management: Conduct regular performance reviews, provide feedback, and support the professional development of team members.

What You Need/ You have a track record of:

• 12+ years of overall experience of which at least 4-5 years of professional hands on development experience in  Java / NodeJs / RoR, MySQL / PostgreSQl.
• E- commerce background preferred.
• Prior experience with improving processes and standards for product development
• Must have the ability to design schemas with PostgreSQL or MySQL
• Must have experience as an Engineering Manager or Team Leader while mentoring other people
• Must be eager to learn and must be willing to work towards enhancing your programming and management skills
• Prior experience and ability to write unit tests (Karma/Jasmine, Jest)
• Must have experience starting from product Design to development to successful launch
• Knowledge of products planning methods and the ability to use them effectively
• Well organized, and must be able to understand big picture.
• Strong team player with ability to handle multiple products
• Self-motivated, results driven individual, passionate about technology
