Why this job’s a big deal:

As a Software Engineer in the Product Operating Model (POM), your focus is on building high-quality, reliable, and scalable software that delivers business value. You are accountable for owning development, optimization, and automation activities; writing clean and maintainable code; practicing test-driven development; and collaborating closely with Product Managers, Solution Architects, and fellow Developers. You contribute to solution design, ensure adherence to engineering best practices, and take ownership of features from development through testing and delivery.

In this role, you will get to:

  • Contribute to mission-critical projects with direct impact on the evolution of Priceline's business.

  • Be part of a cross-functional agile team that continuously experiments, iterates, and delivers on new product objectives.

  • Utilize your development and analytical skills while building product features.

  • Apply your programming skills towards building low-latency and high-throughput transactional services with continuous integration and automation testing.

  • Modernize A/B Testing ecosystem while interacting and understanding our codebase, systems, and business requirements to effectively make changes to our applications

Who you are:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field.

  • 3+ years of experience in software engineering and development.

  • Hands-on experience with Core/Advanced Java.

  • Experience with Spring Framework, React, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.

  • Familiarity with any of the cloud technologies like GCP, AWS.

  • Excited about A/B testing strategies & implementation.

  • Strong logical and analytical skills.

  • Familiarity and interest with server-side Javascript and Node.js, Git, and GitFlow.

  • Illustrated history of living the values necessary to Priceline: Customer, Innovation, Team, Accountability and Trust.

Flexible work at Priceline

Priceline is following a hybrid working model, which includes two days onsite as determined by you and your manager (ideally selecting among Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday). On the remaining days, you can choose to be remote or in the office.
