In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain software components for the NorthStar product line. Responsibilities include managing direct reports, ensuring high-quality code delivery, documenting processes, and providing mentorship. You will also assist in resolving production support incidents and recommending improvements to development practices.
What your impact will be:
- Design, develop, maintain and support all software components across NorthStar product line
- Manage the day to day activities of the direct reports and ensure this aligns with the team’s priorities
- Provide mentorship and training to direct reports
- Ensure that the team deliveries high quality code on time
- Provide detailed documentation in design, implementation, deployment, and repair decisions
- Provide status reports on progress of activities within the development team
- Perform performance reviews for direct reports and other
- Ensure that the quality of the code produced by the team is consistently high
- Conduct requirement discussions and development estimations for deliverables
- Provide assistance to professional services and support teams
- Provide resolution to defects and investigate and resolve production support incidents
- Recommend and implement improvement to development, integration and support practices and processes
- Apply configuration management, version control, best practices and standards
What we are looking for:
- Experience with Core Java, JSP, Servlet, Tomcat, SQL Server, JavaScript/jQuery, CSS.
- Handling Multi Browser Applications, SOAP/Restful web service
- Good knowledge of multi-threading, file handling
- Should possess good architectural knowledge and be aware of enterprise application design patterns.
- Should have the ability to analyze, design, develop and test complex, low latency client-facing applications.
- Strong Interpersonal skills to work with customers and internal teams to successfully complete projects
- Good communication; written and spoken skills
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Quick Learner and should be ready to learn new technology
