ISS STOXX is actively looking for a Software Engineer in Python/JavaScript/AWS to join the Mumbai Team (Goregaon East).
Overview:
Join our team at ISS STOXX – Market Intelligence, where you'll be at the forefront of building and maintaining our financial platforms in US, UK and Australia. As a leading provider of critical data, insight, and workflow solutions to global asset managers, insurance companies and distributors in the financial industry, we're committed to driving innovation and excellence. As a Software Engineer on the Market Intelligence team, you will be developing new software products and maintaining and enhancing existing products.
Responsibilities:
Write clean and maintainable code
Understand technologies used in the products, and learn about architecture and design
Participate in code reviews and learn from collaboration with other developers
Work with the Quality Assurance team for testing and deployment
Take ownership of tasks, ensure all processes are followed, and work is delivered on time
Learn and adapt to new technologies, languages, and frameworks
Follow agile scrum practices
Understand the business side of the products to be able to deliver holistic technical solutions
Effectively communicate and collaborate with global business and technical teams
Qualifications:
3-5 years of relevant work experience in software development
Must have at least 2+ years of experience working on Python
At least 2+ years of experience with some implementation of SQL (MySQL, Postgres etc.)
Experience with a JavaScript framework like React/Typescript is a plus
Experience with Agile or Scrum software development methodologies
Experience using version control tools (Git/SVN)
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Good to have:
Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)
Experience with containerization and micro services architectures is also an advantage
Financial industry experience.
