Social Media Manager
As the Social Media Manager, you will help to build and execute the social media strategy, initiatives and projects for the world's largest technology company. You are a true warrior with heavy responsibilities on your shoulders. Bring the client’s brand to life, nurture brand love and promote advocacy whilst actively building a sense of community.
You will drive and deliver excellence in all things social - from strategic thinking and planning, to always-on content development and curation, to operational workflows and campaign support. You must have an astute understanding of what is fit-for-social and a keen grasp of what resonates in-market, i.e. India. You will wear many hats as a social media strategist, a project manager and a community manager; thus, the ability to pivot quickly and effectively is critical.
You will be instrumental in a broader regional team who will boldly venture into new waters to deliver more disruptive and impactful work. This means trialling new modes and ways to grow social engagements as the world of social media and how our target audiences experience and consume content evolve. Role:
- Plan, refine and execute the social strategy for the India market, covering but not limited to the following: Always-on content, campaigns, employee advocacy and influencer programs
- Work closely and be a trusted counsel for internal and external stakeholders when it comes to social amplification efforts and plans
- Lead, source and execute social content development and curation efforts, including planning the editorial calendar, copywriting, basic design (following predefined templates and brand guidelines) and publishing for both Facebook and Twitter
- Exercise firm due diligence and ensure that all activities on social media are fit-for-market, meet local needs and capture local nuances
- Ensure and preserve the sanctity of the client’s brand for all forms of delivery through social media - be it copy, creatives and/or any other forms of engagements
- Review and report owned content performance and learnings, along with proactive sharing of best-in-class practices on social media and competitive intelligence
- Lead performance audits and reviews and provide direction to social media and engagement strategies and tactics for India
- Build and manage strong relationships with influencers in India to bolster authentic advocacy and brand love
You:
- Degree in Business, Communications, Marketing preferred, or equivalent industry experience
- 5+ years of experience in tech, marketing or related industry and a proven track record in social media strategy and management
- A strategic and creative thinker who can navigate the ever-evolving social landscape
- Able to positively influence diverse stakeholders and galvanise them on the social agenda and mission of the brand
- Ability to work with local and geographically dispersed stakeholders to deliver clear instructions and directions
- Solid project management experience, with an ability to bring both order and attention to detail
- Experience with social media publishing tools like Sprinklr
- Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop
- A fiery passion for all things social
- Ability to communicate effectively – in written and verbal forms
- Passionate about working as part of a larger team to deliver on a common goal
- Background in B2B/technology space is preferred
- Exceptional verbal and written English communications and presentations skills and - ideally - fluent in Hindi to cover projects spanning across India in addition to other markets.
