Role Description

We are looking for a candidate to join a multi-functional SRE team. You should be having cloud engineering experience in such area acting as the SME on operation automation and monitoring, identifying TOIL within the teams existing systems and processes, recommending, and implementing automated solutions to reduce TOIL and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the team.

Your key responsibilities

• Working as part of Agile team to define target state infrastructure architecture of applications from reliability standpoint
• Develop, improve, and maintain internal operations tools, such as deployment, monitoring, statistics, platform management tools, etc.
• Automation and optimization of application build and deployment process and perform deployment on testing and production environments.
• CI/CD pipeline setup and management
• Approach support with a proactive attitude, desire to seek root cause, in-depth analysis, and strive to reduce inefficiencies and manual efforts.
• Learn, implement, adopt & guide the team members on ITSM processes
• Provide technical hands-on oversight to several support teams and be actively involved in technical issues across multiple applications.
• Build up technical subject matter expertise on the applications being supported including business flows, application architecture, and hardware configuration. Maintain documentation, knowledge articles, and runbooks

Your skills and experience

MUST HAVE

Skills

• 8+ Years of industry experience in DevOps, CI/CD, Infrastructure automation and cloud monitoring
• Production experience on GCP or any other Public Cloud
• GCP Services: Compute(CE, AE, CF, GKE, CR, pub/sub).
• GCP Networking Fundamentals (VPC, VPN, Peering, Interconnect).
• GCP Security fundamentals (IAM, Service Accounts, Workload Identity).
• Container Orchestration
• Container Registry - GCR.
• Setting up Load Balancer, Auto Scaling, databases, Firewall rules, etc.
• Working knowledge of Backup and Recovery methodology and implementations on GCP.
• Evaluate, select and implement appropriate AI/ML technologies, frameworks, and tools.
• Hands-on with cloud-native AI services (e.g., AWS SageMaker, Azure ML, Google AI Platform) for operational efficiency
• Understanding of the SRE core principles – CUJ, SLO, SLI, Error Budgeting based on NFRs

DevOps

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code Tooling like Terraform.
• Experience with at least one configuration management tool (Like Ansible, Packer, Salt, Chef, Puppet, etc).
• Experience with Containerization like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with Windows or Linus/Unix administration and Unix shell scripting (bash).
• Experience with at least two Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment Pipelines and tooling (Github Actions, GitLab, Jenkins, Bamboo, Circle CI etc)

NICE TO HAVE

• Some understanding of ITSM process
• Knowledge of Microservices
• Any programming languages like Java, C#.
• Understanding of architecture and implementation of three tier web applications
• Experience integrating AI-driven automation tools for cloud infrastructure management and monitoring
• Familiarity with AI-based observability platforms (e.g., AIOps, anomaly detection, predictive alerting).
• Ability to leverage AI/ML for incident response, root cause analysis, and automated remediation.
