At Upstox we are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive professional to join our Settlement Operations team. The role involves ensuring smooth and timely settlement of trades, handling corporate actions, regulatory reporting, reconciliations, and client servicing. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of capital market settlement processes and be eager to contribute to operational excellence.

Manage Retail Trade Settlement, including equity pay-in/pay-out of shares

Oversee auction settlement and closeout processes

Handle corporate actions by identifying eligible clients and ensuring timely distribution of entitlements (Dividend, Bonus, Split, Sub-Division, Merger, Demerger, etc.)

Process pledge/unpledge requests of shares from clients

Support system enhancements through testing and implementation of back-office changes

Ensure timely and accurate regulatory reporting

Perform reconciliation of Demat holdings across Pool, CUSA, and other Demat accounts

Respond to client queries, audit queries, and inspection requirements

Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve issues and drive improvements

Graduate/Postgraduate in Finance, Commerce, or related field

Strong working knowledge of retail trade settlement across capital market products

Proficiency in MS Excel (knowledge of advanced functions preferred)

Familiarity with depositories, clearing corporations, and settlement cycles

Excellent problem-solving, communication, and coordination skills

Ability to work independently as well as in a team

Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and timeliness

Openness to leveraging AI-driven tools and automation for enhancing efficiency in settlement processes
