The Service Engineer will supervise the installation and support of combustion equipment, perform on-site commissioning and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues. Key Responsibilities
- Field Installation & Support:
- Supervise and assist with the installation of Zeeco combustion equipment, including burners, flare systems, thermal oxidizers, and associated systems.
- Perform on-site commissioning, start-up, and operational checks for Zeeco equipment, ensuring that it meets all performance and safety standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues on-site related to the performance of Zeeco combustion systems, including mechanical and electrical components.
- Perform inspections and ensure Zeeco equipment is functioning efficiently, documenting any findings and solutions.
- Customer & Team Communication:
- Collaborate with various stakeholders, including plant managers, project engineers, and skilled labor, to ensure smooth operations on site.
- Provide clear and effective communication regarding system status, troubleshooting efforts, and any adjustments made during installation or maintenance.
- Prepare and submit written reports detailing service activities, inspections, and resolutions for customer review.
- Safety & Compliance:
- Adhere to all safety protocols, site-specific regulations, and industry standards while performing work on site.
- Ensure that safety requirements and qualifications for site visits are met, promoting a culture of safety during all service activities.
- Documentation & Reporting:
- Complete detailed, accurate reports on all service and maintenance activities, using electronic or written documentation systems.
- Read and interpret technical documentation, including drawings, schematics, and manuals, to effectively troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues.
- Maintain up-to-date records on equipment performance and maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with Zeeco’s quality standards.
Educational Background:
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field is preferred, but not mandatory.
- Relevant certifications and qualifications in mechanical, electrical, or combustion technologies are a plus.
Experience
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience in field service, installation, and maintenance of combustion equipment, particularly burners, flare systems, or thermal oxidizers.
- Experience in the oil & gas, petrochemical, or related industries is highly desirable.
Technical Skills
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues independently.
- Knowledge of combustion systems, including burners, flares, thermal oxidizers, and related technologies.
- Basic understanding of electrical systems and instrumentation controls related to combustion equipment.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical documentation, P&IDs, and mechanical drawings.

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact with clients and project teams effectively.
- Ability to work independently, taking initiative and solving problems with minimal supervision.
