What you’ll do:

Role Overview
The Technical Program Manager for Data and Analytics will lead data-centric programs across the organization, ensuring they align with business objectives. This role involves managing complex initiatives that impact multiple departments, requiring both project management and technical expertise. Experience with Waterfall and Agile methodologies and Jira is essential for overseeing tasks, timelines, and resources effectively.
About The Role

  • The role involves leading the full lifecycle of data and analytics projects, from concept to delivery, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and on budget.
  • It includes managing project plans, identifying risks, and acting as an Agile leader, facilitating ceremonies like sprint planning and retrospectives.
  • Expertise in Jira is critical for backlog management, sprint planning, and tracking project progress.
  • The manager will collaborate closely with data engineering, analytics, and science teams to ensure alignment with technical requirements and business objectives.
  • Effective stakeholder management is crucial, involving regular updates on project status and aligning business needs with technical deliverables.
  • The role also emphasizes promoting data-driven decision-making and continuously improving project performance through Agile and Lean methodologies.
  • Candidate should have 8 to 10 years of experience, including at least 5 years in Technical Program or Project management, ideally in the data and analytics domain.
  • A strong understanding of project management methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall, along with proficiency in tools like Jira and MS Project, is essential.
  • candidate must have proven experience with Agile frameworks like Scrum or Kanban and the ability to tailor Agile processes specifically for data and analytics projects.
  • Expertise in using Jira to manage data project sprints, track tasks, oversee data pipelines, resolve issues, and create dashboards to monitor key metrics is crucial.
  • A solid grasp of data warehousing, big data platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP), ETL processes, and database technologies (SQL, NoSQL) is also required.
  • Additionally, familiarity with modern data governance frameworks and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, CCPA), as well as experience with BI tools (Tableau, Power BI) or data science platforms (Databricks), will further enhance your suitability for this role.
  • Candidate should also demonstrate a proven ability to lead large cross-functional teams and collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
