A bit about Team
GroundTruth seeks a Senior Software Engineer with strong expertise in designing and building hands-on, customer-facing applications to join our Apps Engineering team. The Apps Engineering Team builds and maintains the full-stack applications and services that power GroundTruth’s advertising platform—spanning customer-facing front ends, back-end APIs, and the data and deployment infrastructure behind them—feeding into how GroundTruth’s advertising creates Real Business Results. Our engineers are organized and detail-oriented team players who are problem solvers with a maker mindset. As a Senior Software Engineer (SSE) on our Apps Engineering team, you will operate as an agentic, full-stack software engineer—directing AI coding agents to build solutions that add new capabilities to our platform, while owning the architecture, quality, and outcomes of what those agents produce.
You will:
- Develop and maintain hands-on, customer-facing full-stack applications using Python / FastAPI / REST APIs and modern front-end frameworks.
- Operate as an agentic software engineer—decomposing problems into tasks that AI coding agents can execute, then reviewing, testing, and validating all agent-generated output.
- Collaborate with management, stakeholders, and the team to evaluate, plan, and deliver projects involving advertising software systems, components, and features.
- Contribute to a culture of transparency by maintaining clear documentation, structured processes, and effective communication—including the prompts, context (AGENTS.md), and MCP configuration that make AI agents productive.
- Write production-ready front-end and back-end code integrated with a continuous delivery and deployment pipeline on AWS.
- Participate in and improve team Agile practices—supporting learning, growth, and technical maturity.
- Create and maintain various ingestion and data pipelines for the GroundTruth platform.
- Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using SQL and AWS ‘big data’ technologies.
- Contribute ideas to improve the platform and the team’s use of AI-assisted development.

You have:
- B.Tech./B.E./M.Tech./MCA or equivalent in computer science with 6+ years experience in software development.
- Hands-on experience using AI coding agents (e.g. Cursor, Claude Code, or similar) to design, write, and ship production code.
- Strong hands-on experience with full-stack development: REST APIs, FastAPI, and modern front ends.
- Experience with AWS Stack used for data engineering: EC2, S3, EMR, ECS, Lambda, and Step functions, etc.
- Hands-on experience with Python/Java for orchestration of data pipelines.
- Experience in writing analytical queries using SQL.
- Experience in Airflow.
- Experience in Docker.
- Proficient in Git.
- Strong written communication and the ability to specify clear requirements and context for both humans and AI agents.
How you can impress us:
- Knowledge of Angular, React, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
- Experience authoring agent context such as AGENTS.md / CONTEXT.md files, custom skills, or reusable prompts.
- Familiarity with the Model Context Protocol (MCP) and connecting agents to tools and data sources.
- Any experience with big data technologies like Hadoop, MapReduce, Pig, PySpark is a plus.
- Knowledge of shell scripting.
- Experience with BI tools like Looker and Tableau.
- Experience with DB design and maintenance.
- Experience with Amazon Web Services and Docker.
- Configuration management and QA practices.
