Job Title: Senior Software Engineer
Location: Bangalore
Business & Team: Our Bankwest Technology division is at the heart of our digital product strategy, and is responsible for the management and deployment of technology change across the organisation. Our tech teams work at pace, with autonomy and local decision making, to deploy world-class solutions in the pursuit of our business strategy.
You’ll be joining our Bankwest Tech Team, a critical supporting function that allows teams to deliver rapidly whilst still aligning to a strategic roadmap. As a team of trusted internal consultants, you’ll provide the expertise, guidance and technology governance to delivery teams to plot a pragmatic path between today’s deliverables and our longer term enterprise objectives. You’ll provide input into roadmaps, best practice, standards and methodologies to help ensure high quality outcomes, and oversee implementation to ensure business objectives are met.
Since you bridge the gap between business problems and technology solutions, you’ll need to be equally comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders as with engineering teams, and excellent communication skills (in both directions) are a must. And often you’ll work across a range of different initiatives, so whilst you’re never short of a challenge, the ability to work independently and manage your own time is important

You will contribute to the financial well-being of our customers by ensuring that our team builds the best solutions possible using modern development practices that ensure both functional and non-functional needs are met.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct incident analysis and triage to minimize downtime effectively.
Design and implement and support scalable, cloud-native systems and APIs.
Serve as a Full Stack Developer with strong coding capabilities in .NET and related technologies.
Work extensively with Oracle Database, focusing on architecture and performance tuning.
Monitor and resolve issues using tools like Splunk, Grafana, and AppDynamics and .net skill
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance workflows and reliability.
Participate in 24/7 on-call support approximately twice every two months, ensuring zero downtime for critical banking applications.
Be fully engaged during major incidents to restore service promptly.
Essential Skills:
Experience: 8+ years as a Full Stack Developer with strong coding skills in .NET and oracle
Proficiency in .NET, Oracle Database, Windows, Azure, and AWS.
Experience in architecture design and troubleshooting at scale.
Strong familiarity with Splunk, Grafana, and AppDynamics for monitoring and observability.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently.
Familiarity with Agile practices, DevOps, and automation tools.
Self-starter with the flexibility to handle on-call and shift work.
Education Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering in Computer Science/Information Technology
