You will be responsible for designing and programming a small module or a large component and designing a feature, set of features, or whole feature area. She/he will work independently and contribute to the immediate team and to other teams across business. She/he will Lead design discussion in a limited manner.
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- providing technical leadership and defining, developing, and evolving software in a fast paced and agile development environment using the latest software development technologies and infrastructure
- Providing technical leadership to an agile team of 5-7
- Working with Product Line Leaders (PLLs) to understand product requirements & vision
- Translate requirements / vision into prioritized list of user stories and deliver to required timelines and quality standards
- Work with product line leaders and architects to develop multi generation software technology plans
- Drive increased efficiency across the teams, eliminating duplication, leveraging product and technology reuse
- Supporting process improvements which guide the development, sustaining & support activities
- Coach, mentor and lead the team
- Working cross functionally with other business departments to align activities and deliverables
- Driving world-class quality in the development and support of products
- Communicate effectively both within immediate team and also across leadership team
- Ensuring team receives consistent messages and has clear understanding of business direction, strategy and results
- Engaging subject matter experts in successful transfer of complex domain knowledge
- Applying principles of SDLC and methodologies like Lean/Agile, CI, Software and Product Security, Scalability, Documentation Practices, refactoring and Testing Techniques
- Writing code that meets standards and delivers desired functionality using the technology selected for the project
- Understanding performance parameters and assess application performance
- Working on core data structures and algorithms and implement them using technology chosen
- Proactively share information across the team, to the right audience with the appropriate level of detail and timeliness
Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have a minimum bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. .
- A minimum 6 years of professional experience in software development using microservices architecture.
- Proven expertise in Node.js and Angular, with a strong portfolio of projects
- Solid understanding of web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and RESTful APIs
- Experience with database systems such as MongoDB, MySQL, or PostgreSQL
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
- Knowledge of DevOps tools and practices
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
