About Project: 

At Boku we are looking to develop a new product that enables partner marketing opportunities with a 3rd party mobile app. A 3rd party should be able to leverage our SDK to instantiate a webview inside their app. The web view will house a webpage that will display marketing offers managed by Boku and our partners. We are looking for a senior backend developer who can design and build our Offer Management System that will house the marketing offer details, user action history, and voucher code system. This developer will help with the design and development of APIs that the Webpage frontend will call.

Responsibilities 

  • Build third-party web-service integration.
  • Build layered, component-based, service-oriented architectures.
  • Engage in all phases of software development lifecycle from design, to development and testing.
  • Independently leads a team to deliver a medium or large size project from inception to post production implementation. 
  • Develop new features and enhance existing applications.
  • Interact with our merchants and customer success stakeholders.
  • Help troubleshoot production issues.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science Engineering or Information Technology.
  • 9+ years of experience in Software Engineering role
  • Strong software design and architecture skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to document and explain technical
    design, best practices, and integration guide(s) to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Able to thrive on a high level of autonomy and responsibility.
  • Java/JEE technologies as the main software development language.
  • Experience with service-oriented architecture.
  • Knowledge of 3rd party web services across technologies like REST, SOAP
  • Spring and Guice for Enterprise integration/design patterns including dependency injection and inversion-of-control.
  • JMS, Active MQ, and WebSphere for messaging system development and design Agile methodologies of software development.
  • Software development tools such as JPA, Hibernate, Spring/Guice, MySQL, JUnit, and Maven. Knowledge of Linux fundamentals.
  • Experience using agile methodologies and tools.
  • Experience with cloud based technologies and platforms, like AWS, Docker, Kubernetes etc.
  • Experience with Microservice architecture.
  • Prefer: Has worked for a US-based company in the US or has exposures working with a US-based company.
  • Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and assistance to the team to effectively execute product roadmaps and build scalable, easy-to-use applications.
  • Apply agile methodologies. Coordinate with a skilled team of engineers.
  • Collaborate cross functionally with Product, Design, and Operations teams.
