Would you like to leverage and grow your cloud, identity and access management and infrastructure platform engineering to design and deliver industry leading cloud platform development solutions that implement leading edge IaC and DevOps practices? Join the Secure Public Cloud AWS's platform team, where you will have the unique opportunity to develop enterprise scale, service-based solutions that enable technologist across LM Technology to self-service their cloud needs.
About the job: As a dynamic Senior Software Engineer on our team, you will work in the AWS platform team that is part of the larger secured cloud platforms team supporting a multi-cloud implementation. You will work in an Agile environment while delivering a mix of projects, enhancements and support requests as you:

  • Work with technical leads to design & enhance cloud platform services and products.
  • Interact with stakeholders and application development teams to understand requirements and provide technical support.
  • Contribute to technical alternatives based on complex product impact analysis.
  • Iteratively code high-quality, stable components & services.
  • Execute all levels of testing (system, functional, QA and regression) utilizing multiple testing solutions.
  • Engineer production support automations and knowledge management to enables developer self-service capabilities.
  • Identify and recommend appropriate continuous improvement opportunities for your team.
  • Participates in support and on-call rotations.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years' software engineering experience.
  • Deep knowledge in Java/Spring, Python, Splunk, CDK
  • Experience building service based solutions for cloud based platforms
  • Postman, VS code tools and Spring Boot (or comparable development languages) Integrated Developer Environments (IDE)
  • Core AWS Service components: Lambda, RDS, SQS, IAM, DynamoDB, S3, CloudFormation or Terraform, EventBridge
  • Service based (API) development
  • DevOps experience utilizing the Git Suite and GitHub Actions.
  • Knowledge of native cloud solution development and platform configuration.
  • Experience supporting enterprise-wide tools, solutions and support.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of CloudForge ecosystem/tools is helpful
  • Powershell, Bash/Shell scripts a plus
  • Familiarity supporting OCF-based apps
